Budget (including currency): 800-900 €

Country: italy

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: casual gaming, 3d modelling, solidworks, rendering. I usualy use full hd monitor, but would love to game sometimes on my tv (4k 120hz), even though this is not a must.

Other details:

I will not buy a graphic card now. I do want one, but I will only buy it when available, a 3060 or a 3070 still to be decided.

So what I am after is a processor with integrated graphics, I was thinking of the i5 10600k or the i5 11600k. But I am really not shure on what to get. Here is some configuration I found here, but I really am open to suggestion. For now I only need a 500GB ssd, when it will be full, I will add more storage. I am after something that will last me possibly 6-8 years mabey adding storage or RAM...

Would love the system to be not too loud...

A part from the componens do I need to buy something else (thermal paste, adapters...)???

Here is my list, really not definitive. Prices from Amazon, might find a little cheaper elsewhere.

Intel Core i5-10600K (base 4.10 GHz, attacco LGA1200, 125 Watt)   208€

MSI Scheda Madre Z590 PRO WiFi ATX  220€

Cooler Master Dissipatore a Liquido MasterLiquid Lite 240 CPU   54€

G. Skill F4 3600 °C19D 16GVRB Memory Module, 2x8  109€

Samsung Memorie MZ-V7S500 970 EVO Plus SSD Interno da 500GB, PCle NVMe M.2  86€

Corsair RM750 Alimentatore ATX, Completamente Modulare, 80 Plus  117€

be quiet! Pure Base 600 Window vane portacomputer Midi-Tower  100€

total 894, but probably 100 euros less fro other shops.

Thank you all!

when do you need this PC? For what your doing it sounds like any decent Ryzen CPU would suite you better, just doesnt have intergrated graphics ;(

My son is "stealing" my current ultrabook for "remote school" every morning... I don't need it this week,  but sooner than later...

I really don't care if I get an AMD or intel... but I will not be paying overprice for gpus.

If your pocket allows take the i7 10th gen rest looks good. Reason: you're planning to upgrade the graphics in future. So you'll plan to upgrade the ram as well. With a better cpu in place which allows more multi threads it will be helpful

Will the 10600 or 11600 not be enough for the 3060 or 3070? Will also 16GB of RAM not be enough, at least for now?

For now these both will be enough i5. Also 16 gb will also be enough for now

But the world is moving in the sense as you are using 3d modelling, solidworks, you may need more ram better cpu for apps to run better in the future. Whereas 3060 or 3070 will last for quite sometime I believe
