So I am starting to think that my mobo is dead I just want to make sure. So what started happening is that It would power up for like 30 seconds and then just die and then it powers its self up for a second then dies again , so far I have tried single stick of ram ,no GPU , cleared CMOS  and tested the power supply

Specs

CPU : ryzen 5 2600

Ram : corsair vengeance 2x 8gb 3200mhz

Mobo: b450 MSI tomahawk max

GPU : Asus rx580 oc

Power supply : corsair cv650w

Case corsair 4000d

Yes running fine for about 3 months since I built it

And what lead you to think that its the motherboard? Was that just a guess? Also can you provide me your exact RAM model?

With paper clip and it ran fine and didn't power down the fans I had connected

So what about your drives.. How many do you have, and what do you use for your OS to boot up?

2 ssd , boot ssd is a Samsung 970 Evo plus 500gb and second is 860 Evo 500gb sata ssd.

But I know it's not them cause I left it off overnight unplugged and it booted into windows for a min then just died.

Oh alright, you did check all the connectors (and especially the CPU) if they are properly connected, right?

Yes except for the cpu I am waiting on thermal compound

It's very unlikely to be the motherboard, because usually there would have to be like a short circuit, or a malfunctioning PSU in order to justify that the motherboard is dead. I'm guessing there could be something corrupted in the Windows boot process.

How do you turn off your PC?

Yeah, i don't think that really matters.. Does it "die" on a very specific screen, or exact time? Also what about your overclocks? I'm guessing you have tried turning XMP off, and since you cleared the CMOS there shouldn't be anything applied.. are you sure you cleared the CMOS properly? You could try doing it for the 2nd time..

Like i said, i highly doubt its the motherboard... it has to be something else

Yes I have turn xmp off . No it does not die on any specific screen and when I cleared CMOS when it did power on I came up with screen that said CMOS cleared

No over clock.  just took CPU out and it still dies no debug lights or anything

what the hell, i guess it could be the motherboard then. But i dont get how it could've died, if there wasnt anything wrong.. maybe something happened overnight
