Hi all, hopefully someone has some experience here. I recently built with a 5600X and MSI B550 Tomahawk and am running into issues with the M.2 drives.

I am able to run the NVMe Drive in either of the two slots, yet my mass storage, pcie m.2 will only be recognized in the slot closest to the cpu, which limits the performance of the NVMe.

Has anyone else had this issue? Only other part on the board is the RX590 in the top slot, and that’s it. BIOS has been updated to newest release.

I have 2 questions for you:

1. What M.2 is it? Brand? Model?

2. What do you mean with "the slot closest to the cpu, which limits the performance of the NVMe."? The m.2 closest to the CPU is the only gen 4 slot in the board, so it should be the fastest of the 2.

Sure, so NVMe is a WD SN750, PCIe is a WD Blue.

So that is the issue, when I mount the NVMe in either slot, it works just fine, but the only one that recognizes the PCIe drive, is the Gen 4 slot nearest the CPU, not allowing me to put the NVMe drive in the Gen 4 Slot, and the PCIe drive in the slower slot.
