Nope, server only provides world details to clients. Clients do the graphical work. What you are looking for is a streaming service, which I dont think there is any that supports minecraft.

Hello guys,

 

Recently built my own PC with a Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2060.

I want to host a Minecraft server for me and my girlfriend to play on, but her laptop isn't as capable.

 

I was wondering if there are any settings, or any way to create a Minecraft server where all of the rendering and calculations are done server side (e.g. on my PC).

Think of GeForce NOW or Google Stadia...I saw some blog posts about using AWS EC2 instances for Steam + VPN game streaming, but this is local on my PC (also, I think Minecraft RTX is only for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition? But can live without RTX).

 

Sorry if this post is not descriptive enough, I'll try to summarise here:

I need to setup a Minecraft server which I will port-forward so it can be accessed from anywhere, where all rendering is done server-side thus, any clients joining in only have to have a decent internet connection.

Ahh, thanks but not exactly what I'm looking for.....Guess I could make a normal server and my girlfriend could use an online PC instance with more capable CPU/GPU. Thanks for the suggestions though! Will have a look.

Then you would need to get a full remote desktop like Parsec.
