500R with some modding

Hi everyone,

i just finished my new build and want to share some pictures. I hope you like it. Feedback is much appreciated.

Specs:

CPU: Core i5 2500k @ 4.2 GHz with Corsair H100i

GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6950

MoBo: MSI Z77A-GD65

RAM: Vengance 2x 4GB 1600 9-9-9-24

SSD: OCZ Vertex 4 120GB

PSU: OCZ ZT 750W

Case: Corsair 500R

how did you mount the HDD on the 5.25 bays?

I bent some metal sheets to a U shape and drilled some holes in it.

I very much like your rig, the colours really stand out!

 

PS: it doesn't really make much difference but it's just a general rule of thumb to install a dual channel kit in the slots furthest from the cpu, unless the manual calls for it otherwise. In your case it doesn't, i know this because we have the same motherboard ;)

Is vibration a problem?

Unfortunately yes it is.. but it is not that bad, because i have got a WD 2TB green in there and my os is running of the ssd at the back.

 

Tubes are covering that nice illumined corsair logo

I can not install it the other way around if i want to keep the radiator "outside" the case if you understand what i mean.

Very nice and very clean build. Im digging the color scheme and that case. Did you use paracord for the sleeving?
