you can only upgrade up to gen3, not gen4.

i suggest getting a 3770k.

Since OP already ordered an i7 I think it will be sufficient

@TzahiIf you are asking about a graphics card upgrade, it depends on what you do most. Is that what you are asking about when you say "gen 3 or gen 4" or do you mean something different? Do you play at 1080p? And what games?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

4k RTX on, your CPU might not be able to keep up (even though the graphics card is doing most of the work the CPU is still loaded a lot)

For regular 1080p gaming, I hope you can get your hands on something like a GTX 1060 or rx 580

What is the advantage?

Little to no advantage. very minimal in todays standard, but nice to have newer part.

You can also get a Xeon 12xx v1 or v2, it will work in your socket and probably cheaper.

The GTX 1060 isn't an RTX card that works with minecraft, if you want basic RTX you can try to find a 2060. Anything more powerful is something I don't recommend, it will be more than your CPU can really handle, and end up being wasted money
