Computer crashed, now Android Studio won't start

guitargirl15

I was running the snap version of Android Studio on Ubuntu when my system became totally unresponsive. I forced-shutdown and rebooted, and now Android Studio won't start at all.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to fix?
I tried `snap remove android-studio` `snap install android-studio --classic` to reinstall, but nothing changed.

Is there an equivalent to `purge` for snap packages? Anther potential problem? I don't know how to start.

EDIT: I Googled for "purge' option and it exists, I purged Android Studio and reinstalled, and I finally got it to work.

If it’s a standard build removing the package would remove almost everything except dependencies.  If it was one of the dependencies that was messed up other things that use that dependency will also be messed up.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
