New gaming build since 2010

Icyhotxl

$2000 ~ $2500 usd

USA

Mostly going to be used for gaming with some light video editing

Looking to build a new rig after years of not having one. It doesn't need to be pretty just very functional and a power house. Only thing I really need is good cooling and airflow for the tower, I'm in a warmer area and not alot of air conditioning that is not my choice. I don't need a monitor. It's not a rush build either I have some time to plan on this.

It’s good you have time so you can buy a gpu at MSRP. This is not really ascetics focused, but you could spend a bit more for that. I didn’t include a win10 key because you might have a way to get it for free or pick one up on scdkey or something. You might have to wait 6m to 1y to get the GPU.

Make it 16GB of 3600

Double the RAM capacity will always be better than a 400MHz increase in speed.

It does give a ~4FPS boost, and it’s beneficial for video editing.
