Free Program For Concept Design

Go to solution Solved by StyvyStiefel,

Ah, gotcha.

For modeling in CAD then for free, you could use Sketchup.

There's more than a few youtube tutorials to help get you started.

But if you're at University, I would recommend just downloading Solidworks CAD because for you, it's free and it's a powerful program to learn to use. Also, when your group member designs the actual parts in CAD, you would be able to view his files.

I have a group project  due in few weeks , me and my team are at that point where we all decided to make a simple concept design for our project which is making a rover , so i was wondering does anyone know any free software which i could use to make a simple concept design for it ??

I would draw it on paper ,but my ART skills are kinda trash.

Thanks

Would you be drawing a simple design or modeling a simple design?

Also, are you in college or high school? I ask because a lot of colleges offers Solidworks for download for free.

I'm currently in University , i just need a simple software which i could use just to make simple concept design, and when we all do it we will choose one, and the actually mechanical engineer which is in our group will model it in CAD , and am doing electrical and electronic engineering so i don't have the CAD which mechanics use , i only have CAD which makes the PCB boards and etc
