well its kind of the only way to get a GPU lol

It completely depends on what it was used for previously. If used very lightly for a year or two its great as long as the airflow is solid and there isnt any dust. If its been in a mineral oil rig for 7 years then it is not a good idea.

Well yea if you don't have the money for a new one or save some for other component  and the used one its just like the new one but make sure everything work fine and not used in crypto

FWIW, I've bought used GFX cards all my life, and as long as I can test them out beforehand, I've never had a dud.

I personally always buy gpus used. that depends.

 

Pros:

cheaper

Cons:

might be signs of usage

something might not work correctly (fans etc)

dirty

overheating

 

Most of the Cons are easily fixable. back in the middle of 2020 gpus were decently priced. rx 580s were little over 100$ and vega 56s around 250$. no rx 580s are like 250$.
