RAM heatsinks...universal or?

Something that I completely forgot about, the RAM I have ordered for my new build is DDR4 ECC RAM (it's naked) and I wanted to but on a white heatsink shroud to match the colour scheme I"m going for.

Are the heatsinks universal, or do I need to match to the stuff I am getting?

What I am getting is this:

Fairly standard-looking RAM

Note: I am not wedded to those exact heatsinks, but I would like them in either white, blue, or black, is better exist.

I think they'll be fine, you're using pads first and then these on top. 

 

Plus, you'll have beautiful sex it looks like... not sure how but good for you.

I have not paid attention to colours of my system in the past, this time around, as a fun project, I'm going to try to match everything, and see how it plays out.

So far, a true white build has been harder than I expected, with the GPU being the main stumbling block (Sort of solved that issue, but we shall see how the final result plays out)

Can you get white backplates?  Plus, are you going to paint the fan shrouds?  

 

I think it's a great project, but it's more of a 2 color build than a full white one I bet.

so long as the heat sinks aren't for FB ram it should work with the right size pads.

I'm picking up a Firepro W7000, as this will not really be for gaming (maybe some Minecraft, but I"m generally not a gamer)

And I can remove and airbrush the shroud,

And you are correct, the mobo is mostly white with obviously some black, so I'm going to try to go B/W (with some touches of red like in the AMD card, or maybe blue...still working on that) 

 

*Pure* white, 100%, is impossible, AFAIK, you can't paint mobos (the VRAMs, solder points, etc)

But I did score an all white PSU, so there's that...

It will be an open frame case, coming in black but I will paint that too.
