I want to set install am access point outside of my house by the pool, any recommendations?

If all you need is wireless connectivity and you have an old wireless router, you can check to see if it supports being converted to AP mode. All you’d need to do is mount it on a wall facing the pool, provide it some power and wire it over ethernet to your primary router (LAN-to-LAN ports). Not all home wireless routers are outdoor-rated, so you should mount this under the eaves, outside of direct sunlight and preciptation.

But if you want something different...

  1. What is your budget?
  2. How large is the pool area? If it’s a wide/open space, an omnidirectional AP should suffice. Alternatively, if it is a narrow and long space, a directional AP might be necessary.
  3. What internet speeds do you currently pay for from your ISP? Do you want the ability to utilize 100% of that bandwidth or is WiFi in this area just for convenience?
  4. You’ll need to run at least ethernet cabling to the outside wall. However you do it, make sure the cable doesn’t get damaged along the way. If you’ll have long runs outside, get outdoor-rated ethernet (for protection against the weather), but if you’re drilling through the wall to the AP mount point, it doesn’t have to be.

I already ran the ethernet cable to pool I'm paying for 450 mbps also pool area is around 80 Sq feet or so and if I can get something between $100 more or less would be great

Needs to be outdoor certified AP ...don't wanna use a indoor router

Check out the UAP-AC-M.
