Hey all! Working with an older motherboard, Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H. It has two headers for front panel (non-USB-3.0) usb connections labeled FPUSB1 and FPUSB2. My question is, are they labeled like this because one of them supports USB 2 and one of them supports only USB 1? Or just because there’s two headers total, so... 1 and 2. Can’t find it in the mobo manual or online.

Lots and lots of front USB 1/2 connectors?

Anyway, questions you could have pretty obviously answered by actually reading the manual of your mainboard, right? And if you don't have that (anymore), look it up on the web.

I'm not that daft, I promise! I actually did read the manual and believe it or not, it kinda didn't specify. Well, okay, it said "2.0/1.1 headers" but it didn't answer my question as to whether F_USB 2 was the 2.0 and F_USB 1 was the 1.1, or if they both supported 2.0.

They are both USB 2.0 headers but they are also backwards compatible with USB 1.1

You have two headers labeled F_USB 1 and F_USB 2
