ATX motherboard?  What case?

Probably wouldn't make that upgrade, look into 9900K as well.

hello, I want to upgrade my i7-9700 to 5600x and I need help with finding motherboard and air/water cooling for the 5600x

my gpu is 3070

Question: Why upgrade in the first place, the gain from the 9700 to the 5600X is not that big. You will also loose 2 cpu cores.

I saw on linus video that the 5600x even better than 9-10900k

and I also getting poor fps in cpu based games

The 9700 is plenty capable in gaming. The 10900k is a 10 core 20 thread cpu. You cannot compare them like that. Maybe in a few games where raw IPC (instructions per clock) are king. What games, what's the rest of your hardware, what settings, what resolution etc. ? You probably can optimize your system before having to spend money on an entirely new build.

As @ApplefreakThis could be a huge part of it. Try just one monitor.

The 9700k boosts higher and can be overclocked. The base clock is also 600 MHz higher to begin with.

Unless specs and settings are almost identical, machines can differ wildly.

But if he has the same things as you, wouldn't it make sense that you can achieve his performance with a little tiny effort?

Why would you upgrade instead of just fixing your settings or setup?

9700k vs 9700 wouldn't account for 30-40% usage fps difference alone.  But what fps are we talking here?  200-280?  60-75?

You need to give us all the information rather than making us pull it out of you in pieces.

No need.  I can reach over 1000fps on Minecraft, I'm not impressed or swayed by a 600 fps CoD video.

Because it means nothing.  Nothing at all.  High fps like that is a gimmick at best, there are some uses for high fps above a monitor's refresh rate (Linus tested this as well with a pro gamer) but 600 is not a level of performance to shoot for., it is way above and beyond any meaningful use.

If that's your basis for the upgrade, have at it.  If you look at other New Builds in this forum, you'll see some highly recommended B550 and X570 motherboards that are not too hard on the wallet.

Pretty sure that CPU doesn't really need an upgrade yet, that would be wasting your money. My i7 9700F which i took from a prebuildt for my own build runs perfectly fine with an RTX 3070, maybe a bit bottlenecking combined with the low speed ram i have but im pretty sure your 9700 will be absolutely fine.
