Mouse optical sensor fails

I have this mouse for a few months now and every once in a while the optical sensor turns of while everything else is functional. I have a HP Gaming Mouse X220. Tried already to clear the sensor, uninstall and reinstall drivers and clear the mousepad

Current Rig:

Nope, when the sensor goes off it doesn't move the cursor, but all the buttons are still responsive
