problem with new hdd

I recently bought a 2tb hdd because I only have a 500hdd and every time I connect the 2tb, my games start lagging and my 500gb (main drive aka C:) is stuck at 0% on read in task manager, does anyone know what the issue is and how to fix it (when I disconnect the 2tb drive everything goes back to normal and my 500gb starts reading again)

You sure the disk is online? check under disk management

or try this :

1. Go to Start, type power options and hit Enter.
2. Click on Change plan settings.
3. Click on Change advanced power settings and select Hard drive.
4. At the turn off hard disk after, select maximum time to prevent the hard drive from powering down.

Check bios for any raid configurations

It doesn’t turn off, everytime I connect the 2th my games start lagging

Search disk management in windows and go to create and format hard disk partitions. Take a screenshot of that window and send it.

Ok I’ll do that when I’m able to get on my pc , also I have the 2tb disconnected, should I connect it back I only have the 500gb connected
