Headphone/headset

Annotation

I use a iphone headset and notice the mic doesnt work on it. I downloaded realtek audio and it still wont wotk. Is it the headset or the pc issue

Have you plugged it into the mic or audio port, as desktops usually have them separate. To make it work with the earpods, you probably would need a adapter which would combine both of them.

If the headphones have only 1 3.5mm jack, and it has a mic, it will need a adapter for it to have both, audio and mic. Also, try right clicking the speaker icon on the bottom right, select sounds, go to recording, and check when you speak or blow air into the mic, if any of the bars rises, it is picking up the mic. If it isn't rising, on the back of ur pc try plugging it into the pink port, it is for mics, you won't have any sound, but this is to check if the headphone mic works. Now try blowing the air/speaking and check if it is rising, it should rise.
