The xbox remote works if i boot my pc with it plugged in but stops my razer mic from working

You have to manually select the razer mic.

Go to sound mixer and select the input to razer mic.

It will automatically select the xbox mic if you plug it.

 

 

To prevent this in the future just disable the xbox mic input.

search control panel, click small icons (top right), click sound, select input tab right click disable.

Wait. base on your screenshot the contoller is not connected.

Do you have problems connecting it?

No it connects when i load pc with it plugged in and works all fine but if i boot then plug it in i get a error

Try connecting it with a bluetooth.

pc isnt bluetooth

try updating the driver.

or buy a bluetooth dongle, they are cheap.
