Not booting

J-Gray

My pc is not booting. It just says “Reboot and select proper boot device”. I have unplugged and replugged my boot drive, but it still hasn’t worked. I have also tried changing the boot drive in BIOs, but nothing is working.

You need to give way more information.

Complete system specs.

Is this build new or old.

Have you tried anything? If so please list it.

What changes did you make when the issue occured?

Did you hot swap the drive from an older system?

ect ect.

Ok. I have a 10700k, a 16gigs of ripjaws, an Asus z490-p, and a 1660 ti. My pc is less than a abt 7 months old, and my boot drive is just a adata su750. I have tried changing the boot drive order in bios, and unplugging the ssd

When you unplug the SSD, it will display that error. That is normal.

Assuming the drive shows up in bios,

Here's some things you can try.

A different sata cable.

A different sata power plug.

A different sata port on the motherboard.

Installing the drive in another PC to be sure it's a working drive, but install it as storage, don't try and boot from it on another PC.

Clear the cmos.

Use the installation media to do a repair.

And lastly if all of the above fails, warranty the SSD.
