The 5800x is a lot faster compared to the 9900k in esports titles. Not to mention it should run cooler and it has a better upgrade path.

Yeah i know, but just when you can actually get gpus again thats what i would get ig. It's better than the 1070ti before. It was just a general thing

You'll be able to get over 400fps pretty consistently with this build. If you use the 1070ti while you wait for more stock, you could expect probably in the range of 300-350fps.

I would change the PSU though. You can usually find semi-modular PSUs for quite a bit less, the only difference is that they have the 24pin and CPU power cable permanently attached, but since you always need these cables anyway, it's not a big deal.

The more I learn, the more I realise I don't actually know anything.

Recommendations: Lian Li 205m (sleek, pretty decent airflow for a non-mesh front panel and cheap), i5-10400f (Ryzen 5 3600 performance, 20% cheaper), Arctic P14 PWM fans, Logitech g305.

Looks fine, but that drive is pretty low quality and the RAM is overpriced.

also he already has a 1070ti, he’s keeping it

Oh ok i didnt know that, well in that case i would still get a 3070 when they become readily available. The ram was the cheapest rgb 32 gb set i could find, and it's less expensive than the corsair set originally listed, which i feel is way to overpriced. tbh i'm not sure about storage i just usually pick the cheapest one that's closest to the last one (in that case a 1tb nvme) but tbh i feel a sata one should do just fine
