So I got a new desk and am now looking for an extended mouse pad. I'm not sure if there are specific ones I should get or if any mouse pad will work

Could always wait until the LTTstore.com mousepad is back in stock and get one of those. I personally have used pads from HyperX and Corsair with great success and love them. I currently use the MM500 which is a behemoth of a pad, but they do offer smaller ones too.

Steelseries QcK is a great one, also I have found that deskmats from the keyboard community (novelkeys.xyz, etc.) are very nice in design and seem to work well although I haven't tried them myself.
