Lexar Flash Drive Problem

Here is my flash drive it is the purple 16gb one it has a lot of my dad's important work stuff.

In the picture of list of drives it is highlighted one (Removable Disk (J:))

when i click on it i get this

Have you tried it in different USB ports? Different PCs? Different Operating Systems? Does the drive get a lot of use? Please tell us any other information you think will help us figure out what the problem is

I don't really know what else to suggest. I had several USB drives start acting like this and it turns out they were all broken after years of use (and abuse). I managed to recover some of the data through careful positioning of the drive, but ultimately they were dead

You may be able to recover the drive itself by formatting it with a piece of third party software, but you would lose all of the data on the drive. Sorry I can't be of more help, it may just be broken
