Well, you made it sound like it was not...

It might be a slot/motherboard, might be ssd, but the fact that it stops PC from working altogether and is heating up means something is seriously wrong.

My nvme ssd was working I shut it off and then the next day it stopped working it shows no display and the display input says its getting a signal but nothing. I remove the ssd and it boots right up fine. the ssd gets really hot and nothing is working I can't even get into the BIOS. Please help me out

SSD: WD black SN 750

Cpu:Ryzen 3 2200g

Motherboard: Asus prime b450 plus (BIOS is up to date)

ram:16 gbs

hdd:1 tb 5800 rpm

power supply: 500w evga BQ semi-modular 80 plus bronze

Is the SSD still under warranty? If it stopped working and started getting very hot, there might have been some kind of electrical short.

There might be something wrong with your system, or you may be extremely unlucky, but what you describe means it's dead and dangerously dead.

This ssd has 5 year warranty, why you cannot use it?

I plug it in to the m.2 slot and windows doe's not pick it up so I reboot. Then nothing just a black screen and that's it, the display says no signal but when I try changing the signal it say there is a signal. the ssd get hot and then I have to shut do the system by holding down the power button or flipping the power supply down. and uninstall the ssd and then turn it back on and it works find I'm using the pc right now. I've tried it many different times but  you guys say to stop and so I stopped putting it in it's just in its box just sitting there. What do I do with the ssd? Do I have to get a sata ssd instated? please help I'm new to pc building and this is my first pc build so I want to it right thank you in advance.

Do you plug m.2 ssd in without turning the pc off first?

m.2 was not designed for hotplug and does not support it neither physically nor in terms of software. Not only it will not work, but there is a good chance to kill either ssd or motherboard.
