So I recently purchased a Fantech cg71 and I was wondering if the RGB cables need to be plugged into the MOBO for them to work. I have plugged in all the front panel cables including the sata power however because my motherboard doesn't support it I can't plug in my RGB and GDV cable

I'm not entirely sure but I have the same connector on my case and it's to control the lights on the case and it doesn't fit into my mobo either. I think you're supposed to use some sort of RGB controller or adapter to plug that in. I don't have one so I just change RGB via a button on my case. The lights themselves work though. Because the one you're holding in the picture is a female connector with 4(?) holes in it right?
