I am having a problem with my (Acer Nitro AN515-54) laptop, I was made aware that my pc audio was somehow bleeding through my mic on discord (and other programs that use my mic). I have done some testing and it still bleeds if my mic is muted or detached from my (Corsair HS50 PRO STEREO) completely, my mic is plugged straight into the combo jack on my laptop directly.

Welcome!

The microphone and headphones all run through the same combo jack on the laptop, right? Sounds like there an electrical issue with the combo jack that's somehow causing the output for the headphones to crossover to the input from the microphone.

Do you have another pair of headphones (even cheap earbuds with a mic would work) that you can test to see if they have the same issue when plugged in? That would tell you for sure if the issue is on the headphone side or the computer side.

I tried some cheap in ear headphone with a mic and got no bleed, what could I to fix this as I really love my Corsair headphones?

Well the good news is that it doesn't appear the laptop is the issue, as that would be way more expensive.

If the Corsair's have a replaceable cable you might try that. If not then you're likely going to have to replace them, unfortunately. You could try getting a splitter to break out the mic and headphones into two separate connectors but if your laptop doesn't have another audio jack that might not get you very far. Unless you get a 3.5 mm to USB converter, but depending where the fault actually is that might not even work.

Unless someone else chimes in with another idea it sounds like a hardware fault with the headphones themselves.
