oc_peg wattage

Hi All,

 

Does anyone happen to know the wattage for a gigabyte aurous xtreme trx40 oc_peg connector? Seems to fit a pcie 6 pin so I’m guessing 75W? My second question is it looks like I’m going to have to go with a sata to pcie adapter to plug into the oc_peg connector. But since a SATA cable is capped at 54W I’m asumming I couldn’t go with a monoprice single cable adapter, I’d have to go with a dual adapter. Is this a correct assessment?

Turns out there’s probably a simpler option. All I need is a pcie cable splitter coming directly from the PSU—one end going into the gou and the other into the OC-peg. All the wattages add up.
