Work computer.

Go to solution Solved by RONOTHAN##,

For just running Chrome, even 30+ tabs, 16Gb should be fine. Just try to convince him to get something new with an i5 or above, and call it a day. Any other differences between them would be almost indistinguishable. Just find what's cheapest where you're located, make sure the reviews aren't awful, and it's got modern specs (Coffee Lake and newer). More than likely an optiplex or another prodesk will be what wil come up, and it would work well enough.

Budget (including currency): na

Country: canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly google chrome. And Oracle NetSuite. What would be best computer for this my boss is going to get us new computers and I have to find details of what we need to run about 30+ tabs in chrome at a time plus NetSuite and 2 monitors possibly 2 monitors and a tv. I was thinking minimum 16gb ram. But was wondering if 32gb would be better. Our computers right now are hp prodesk. And they are crap super slow and freezes momentarily alot. I just need some good stats to have running the computer. Don't need to run three monitors. But would be ok. Sales is what we do. Small rim and tire shop. But when we get busy we need to be fast. Google chrome and NetSuite would be 2 main programs and lots of tabs open.  Would be greatly be appreciated.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Thanks you very much! I was going to think minimum 16gb of ram and just wondering what would be the best processor. Thank you!
