I have been wanting to do this for a while and Lays showed me a bios he uses so yay! I'm going to be flashing it this week and I'm wondering if this is safe for 24/7 use. The card would be at 1.3V and will be cooled with a custom loop and full cover block so cooling is not an issue. It is a a reference card and I got it up to 1430MHz already so I'm excited to see what will happen. Will EVGA let me RMA if I kill it in the OC process?

I little side thing I want to do is use something to monitor it's power draw, if that's possible, but I need to know what to use.

Thanks!

It'll make the voltage a constant @ whatever you set it, so turn the voltage down when you're not using it.

If you brick the card, boot up with onboard graphics and re-flash to your stock bios (hopefully it works)

If you don't tell EVGA about what you've done they should cover it, if you do tell them they'll either understand or not understand. :P

LOL

So just go back into precision and turn it down?

You can't use precision with this, it'll have to be afterburner

install rivatuner too when it asks, you can make it show your CPU temps+ gpu voltage+temps. It's legit :P

Oops yeah. This makes the voltage slider come to life :P

Whenever I OC it would just jump around.

DAMN

I'm excited now :D

Keep in mind anything you set it to, the voltage is actually +20-25mv higher. So 1300 on the slider is 1320~

And when I don't want it just slide it down?

What happens if I don't use the bios, but use the hack in afterburner?

Yeah.  Also, it makes the default clock 1137 mhz instead of like ~900 like the default bios, increases E-peen by 2 inches.

I wonder what my power draw will be since my CPU is at 1.45V lol

My 850w could actually be useful.

Nice, what is your OC?

I'm really excited to try this later. I just need to repair my loop before I try.

Right now my voltage is at 1.425 and gpu clock is 1096Mhz

Gonna test it a bit higher next, but stock speeds my FPS on BF4 is around 80, at 1096 it avg at 109 fps

That's a high voltage. Is that measured using a DMM? Software set volts will be lower than actual volts used even with the LLC mod. I would not use that high a voltage unless subzero for a prolonged time.

Sorry, I totally missed this part of your post. I'm choosing RAID0 because I can, basically. I'm only using the two drives for games and storage, nothing critical and I'd like the performance boost where it's available without spending a ton of money and I don't need a full 1TB for any single logical drive.

Im going to use 1.25 ish for my 24/7 clock.

Yeah I actually backed off quite a bit. I tested at 1.225 and it worked good, now I'm going to try 1.775

Just to clarify, you're at 1.4+ volts for 1096Mhz on a 780?

No, I've re adjusted everything. I'm at 1.175 volts for 1228 Mhz on a 780
