So I downgraded from a i7 2600k to a amd fx 8350 and the motherboard is A gigabyte technology Ga-78lmt-usb 6.0 if I buy it better mobo will it improve my performance since on rust i only get 20fps and I also have a 2060 16gb ram 600w psu thanks.

That CPU is not adequate for current gaming, especially in CPU thirsty titles like rust. You are massively bottlenecking that 2060. Definitely upgrade to a newer platform entirely, and get a newer CPU. What is your budget?

Generally speaking: different motherboards essentially have no effect on performance.
