Speaker or headset?

I'm setting a new pc setup and deciding on the audio.

 

Should I buy speakers or just buy a very good studio headphones?

(Both are about the same price)

If you're really into your audio and you want higher end stuff then why not start with the headset you want and perhaps add a cheap set of 2.1 speakers now and upgrade them later? You'll likely be sitting right in front of them so they don't need ot be super powerful.

One of my kids has Creative A250 and they are super cheap, don't have adjustable bass but they are really loud. I have Edifier Aurora 2.1 and they aren't as loud as the Creative but they are way smaller and perfect for a desk. Still cheap

Beyerdynamic then if you're doing music production, at least that's my understanding

What are the two options you are looking at?

 

speakers vs headphones is purely up to you.  IME I prefer headphones on the PC and speakers in the Livingroom and I live alone so either would work for me.
