Does a hardware solution exist for my problem? Switch KB/M between computers...

I use a wired keyboard and mouse for my work laptop and regularly switch between that and my personal PC. - I have to swap over the USB's for the KB/M when I want to switch between my personal and work PC every 1-2 hours or so.

 

I know a software solution exists, however my workplace are dead fussy about external software installed on company laptops and highly doubt it would be approved. It is a worldwide finance firm so approval for things like this aren't quick and easier for I.T based in another continent to just say no.

 

Is there a simple switch hub or anything I can use? (besides buying a second KB/M.)

What you want is a kvm switch. Get those cheaper VGA models and just ignore the vga port. I use one of those to switch between my desktop and work laptop

For a buisness perspective this is probably your best option. Built in keys on the keyboard to switch between devices. Works great and is a more classic keyboard with deep switches with a great feel but practically silent.

They shouldn't. And even if they do, it'll probably be so little you wouldn't notice.
