So I have been binge watching LTT and thought I'd join to figure out an issue.

 

Started getting into a computers a few years ago and built a rig that went off without a hitch. Then I had problems after I plugged in a usb chord to charge my phone that had a short in it.

 

The computer started shutting off when bumped, then the Geforce 1070 had a fan that went out, then after dusting the pc and reseting the GPU the PC would shut off a few seconds after booting and I found out a fan on the GPU quit working.

 

Now I'm fighting a 5 volt case with a 12 volt mobo. This is a frustrating hobby indeed. 

 

I want to learn the basics of PC building which apparently I don't have. 

 

I'm a 30 year old factory worker who is happily engaged and me and my fiance own four hellraising cats.
