I'm new here

I am new here. I know next to nothing about computers and especially nothing about the different components. I was thrown into the IT position at work and have been trying to learn as much as I can quickly. Next on the todo list is to build a workstation for myself to use at work.

 

I was thrown into the position out of necessity to code a new Invoicing, job creation, customer database program at our family business. Now I am just trying to get all of our office staff computers up to speed. (Away from 1.2ghz processors and off the shelf Walmart computers that take about 10 mins to start up) I figured watching LTT videos and joining the forum would be a good way to get some knowledge on how these machines work inside and out.
