So I have a couple questions about a Audio Interface recording/usage

1) If I use the Line Out on USB audio interface, And pass it to say a mixer for said purposes, I will still be able to hear/use it right? with the current PC it's connected to?

2) So I know the sound and the gain passed over from line out remain the same when sent to a device with line-in, But supposedly you not meant to apply gain to what your source is plugged into? Instead just raise the volume. An Explanation as such?

Those are the questions. PLEASE do not post an answer completely unrelated to this current discussion, just don't.

1, Why? if you have an interface you shouldn't need a mixer, the interface handles that functionality
2, "But supposedly you not meant to apply gain to what your source is plugged into? Instead just raise the volume" Just do whatever has the best signal to noise ratio and make sure windows volume is at max, honestly I had great difficulties trying to understand this question, I thing you may find it useful to have a read through my gear guide (link in signature) which should help you get a basic understanding of how interfaces/mixers work and from there you might be able to articulate your questions more clearly from a more informed point of view 🙂

So the reason I want to use an Audio Interface, And send the line out to mixer, is because of space and my Dual Streaming PC setup. Space is a BIG part of my setup, and it's easier to use my Audio Interface. (And it's great Pre-amps) to send a line out to my mixer.

And for the second question, I guess I was asking if I need any makeup gain when applied to the mixer.

Also, took read of you gear list/gear explanation list. worth the read!

If space is an issue why are you even bothering with using both a mixer and an interface? Interface should just be used on its own.
Just had a look through your post history, I remember those threads, like before I'll say it again "With the maturation of multicore designs like ryzen there is very little reason to consider dual-PC streaming as a streamer unless you're playing in the big leagues." Especially considering you consider space a big part of the setup, having a second PC there not only reduces space but is entirely unnecessary and inefficient. If you think you're going to become a pro streamer and will need the second PC, worry about that if/when you get there..

Ok? Not really your place to question my initial goals, and what I intend to do with my money.

Of course I can't tell you how to spend your money, that's all up to you, just consider that 3 of your most recent 4 threads have been relating to this issue you would not have if you used hardware as intended. If you're certain you want to spend the extra money, that's fine, at least you're doing so with the full knowledge that your choice is making your setup harder to manage.
