Connection lost. please help.

So basically, i just disconnect from games. Its bee happening on r6s, it says "connection lost". Its happening almost every game on fortnite, "ack! we lost connection to the servers". its been happening on rocket league and csgo aswell. i have no clue how to fix it. maybe a bad eathernet cable? ive downloaded new internet drivers and that didnt work. i keep disconnecting from important games (tournaments and such) please help me. 馃檪

What are the speeds of your internet?

Sounds like packet loss to me.聽 It could be an unstable internet connection and something like that could really be in multiple places.聽

Your best bet is to try a different ethernet cable, a different port in your router, and ideally a different machine on the network and see if your problem persists.聽 If it does persist then it's probably an issue with either your router, or your ISPs WAN.聽聽

You may have to contact your ISP with evidence if you do find out it's the latter.聽

alright. thank you. i will buy a different one and try a different port, but are there any differences between cables? ive heard different cat ones. which one should i get?

If you're just using a home router there won't be much difference.聽聽

Pretty much Cat 6 is the fastest ethernet cable you can buy for an affordable cost, Cat 5e is also a good option but may be more expensive and offers less performance.聽聽

So, look for a CAT-6 cable.聽
