I have this old laptop and it came with windows 7. Now it has windows 10 and want to dual boot windows 7 and 10. I partitioned the C: drive, ready to install it tomorrow. But when i was about to do a backup of the laptop, it froze and so I restarted it. But then the display doesn't turn on but made 7 short beeping noises. I tried to reseat the ram but it didn't fix anything. It has an amd athlon neo 2 K125 and did get hot after a while of usage but never thermally shut down. Please help me.

Thanks,

me.

I will try it! I have done it before. Can you please explain what a CMOS clear is?

Basically we are removing all power from the system board. You will probably have to look up a specific guide for that laptop but you will remove wall power, the battery the laptop has. And then whatever the laptop uses as a CMOS battery. Most commonly they are CR2032  (I think) coin cell batteries
