Broken HD Audio Cable?

So i've just bought a new case (Bequiet! pure base 500dx) and it works fine,except for the fact that the audio doesn't work, the pc doesnt really recognize my headphones from the front panel.It worked on the previous case so im guessing that maybe the HD audio cable is broken(i checked if i inserted it correctly and i did). The real problem is that if i insert my headphones into the motherboard(msi b460m pro) rear connector, my headphones are not regognized aswell so what should i do? i have a monitor with no speakers so im not hearing nothing at all and it sucks!!
