My friend bought a discount pc off walmart with an i5 for 200 and he bought new ram and i gave him a new psu and gpu but the mother board recently failed so he is returning the computer and i told him he should buy a new cpu and motherboard with the 200 and so is this a good build 

 

CPU: AMD Athlon 3000g with Radeon Vega Graphics 

Motherboard: MSI B450M PRO-M2 MAX

GPU: Zotac Geforce GT 710

RAM:Corsair Vengance RGB Pro 16GB

PSU: Corsiar VS Series VS500 80 Plus

Case:Zalman Z3 Edge

Go ahead with the build, but take out the GT710. The integrated graphics in the Athlon is faster than that thing.

It's a ultra low end display adapter from 2013-2014.... it's not good at all.

 

The integrated potato of an Intel CPU will beat it. The Athlon included Radeon Vega graphics will be better.

yeah especially with 16gb of ram you will definately get better performance on the i gpu but you could use the gt710 for extra displays if you need to.

ok yeah the 16gb is what im letting him borrow because i am saving up for my own build and the ram is for my future build and when he gets enough money for new ram he is just borrowing it but ok thanks

Also he would have a decent upgrade path to say a ryzen 5 5600x and a discrete graphics card to play games at higher settings and at higher frame rates. He may have to do a bios update but with the athalon he wouldn't need to borrow a older cpu to do so. Decent over all build for future upgradeability.

i have had bios problems with this cpu before but i looked into it and this motherboard and cpu wont have bios problems
