PSU suggestions?

EpicNewman

I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600 32GB of 3200mhz ram RTX 3080 TUF OC. 2 SSDs and a 3TB spinning disc. my GoXLR and a xbox series x controller. Looking into a new PSU because when playing Finaly Fantasy 14 (main game) cutscenes trigger current protection (I think) and reset my machine. I'm playing max on my 1440p ultrawide at 144hz. Any good suggestions?

EDIT: I have a SeaSonic Platinum760 currently, it's roughly 7ish years old, bought for my 780ti

Yeah, all the Seasonic Platinums are having issues with the transient power draw coming from Vega and RTX GPUs...

Look for anything from Tier A that isn't a "low priority unit", with at least a 750w rating. Should be quite a few under $100.

The HX series is in the "low priority units" section. You would have the chance of needing to replace it through Corsair immediately upon receiving it. Apart from that, it should be OK.

I think you somehow managed to confuse the HX Platinum that they are obviously talking about for the ancient HX Gold. Which should already be extremely obvious, as you should really be looking at acual reviews before making recommendations.

He did not specify the HX Platinum, so I went with the most probable option when someone says "the selection is slim around here". If he meant the HX Platinum, then it should be fine, if he meant the HX Gold, then my previous statement is valid.
