Thermal paste

I have a quick question, I bought the amd ryzen 7 3700x and im currently using the stock cooler. I bought a new CPU cooler  beacuse the amd cooler was very loud, and wondred if i just could wipe of the "old" thermal paste and apply some new to the new cooler. Or do I need to do some more cleaning, with alcohol etc? The thermal paste is just 1 week old.

For best thermal conductivity wipe of the old and put on some new. There are lots of YouTube tutorials on how to do it. 🙂

Just get it clean by wiping off all of the "old" thermal paste.
