PC freezing randomly

My PC has beeen freezing often, it first started every once in a while, and now it happens like 2 minutes after turning on the pc and not doing anything.

Specs:
Ryzen 5 2600
ASUS ROG strix b450-f Gaming
16bg G skill Ripjaws V
EVGA SC Ultra RTX 2060 super
PowerSpec PS 550 BF (550 watt 80plus Bronze)

Windows 10 64 bit

Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic, no problems
Checked Power supply voltage through bios:
+12v = 11.968 V
+5v = 5.041 V
+3.3v = 3.335 V

If nothing is being logged in the Windows Event Viewer, chances are it's the actual drive where Windows resides. If the drive locks up (common with SSDs, but can occur with HDD too), then the OS will too, including not having the ability to record logs to disk.

 

Usually there are vendor specific drive diags. If it's a Samsung SSD, use their Magician utility for example.

ok i did the windows drive error checking tool (idk what its called exactly) and it said there were no errors but its working again, im not sure if it is because of what i did or not but i will keep fingers crossed that it keeps working from now on, cs and fortnite run fine.

chkdsk command only checks the NTFS structure. In some circumstances, it can fix issues by forcing the drive to remap a bad block to a spare or alternate.

 

What you want is to perform a full scan using a vendor provided disk diag utility.

 

What is the brand of drive you're using? Model?

it is an inland professional 256gb ssd there is also an old 500gb hdd that i salvaged from an old pc. The OS is on the ssd

switching out 500gb hdd for a seagate barracuda 2tb, idk if that helps at all, i just needed more storage
