Hi All,

I am building my very first PC and the PSU that I have is a Corsair HX1000 and according to the manual, the PSU comes with 8x PCIe cables however each one of them seems to have only 7 pins on the end that goes into the PSU? I bought an RTX 3090 Aorus Xtreme and I know that one needs a lot of power. Is it normal for the PCI-e cables to only have 7 instead of the 8 pins? Please see picture attached.

Thanks!

Eddy

Doesn't matter. There are probably 2 cables linked somewhere into a single connector, saving them a bit of copper on the connector. As long as the end that goes to the gpu has 8, your are good to go.

You are right, I took a better look and it does seem that one of those pins has 2 cables going into it.
