Price to performance calculation
I think they just divide the dollar by the "full build" price
Ie, if it's a $1000 pc, and it produces 100fps, it's $10 per frame
While if you only consider a gpu by itself (say, a $400 gpu), then it's $4 per frame
It depends on how you wanna view things
Why do they do it that way? Let's imagine a scenario:
$200 gpu: 20 frames, $10 per frame
$250 gpu: 23 frames, $10.8 per frame, slightly worse value by itself
But if you building a $1000 system:
$200 GPU: $50 per frame
$250 GPU: $43.47 per frame, becomes slightly better value overall
So if you're building a full system, you might wanna consider other system cost in your calc, if you're upgrading only GPU, you can use the GPU cost divided by frame as measurement
