Now What?

Go to solution Solved by PhoenixFire22588,

HWMonitor, CPU-Z, MSI Afterburner, Cinebench, 3dmark, Userbenchmark.com, XMP I or II, BIOS power settings set to favor performance. Beyond that lies overclocking and youll wanna be a little more knowledgeable before going there.

Edit: forgot about fan curves in the bios settings as well.

Thanks to the help of a few members I managed to get my new AMD system running. So far, so good. My question is, what do I use to stress test and make sure my system is stable. What do I need to do to get the most out of my new build? Example: Turn on XMP settings. I know that much, but what else can I do to push my current build to the max? What programs should I use? I want to get every once of performance out of my new build, where should I start?

Not sure if this is the right place to post, so feel free to redirect me.

CPU: Ryzen 5600x

MOBO: MSI B500 A Pro

GPU: GTX 1080

RAM: 16 GB @ 3600Mhz CL16

Any programs that I MUST have on a new build?

My defaults are VLC, Peace EQ, Drivers. Anything else I'm forgetting?

You can overclock the RAM timings with 1usmus Dram Calculator as a baseline.

Again overclock using 1usmus Ryzen clock tuner

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.
