[RESOLVED] AMD UCM-UCSI Device in Device Manager

hihihi8

So i just got the new system running:

ROG Crosshair 8 Dark Hero motherboard

5950x

Ram running stock speeds

RX 6900 XT

I got all the drivers installed and the thing works, but I can't get this one item in device manager to go away. It's under USB Connector Managers and titled "AMD UCM-UCSI Device." The error description reads:

Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)

Object Name not found.

the vendor/device ID is 1002:73A4

and the path traces back to PCI. Also, If I uninstall the device along with its drivers in device manager, it will come back in the form of "PCI Device" with another error. This leads me to believe it's a GPU Driver related issue, However even with the USB thing uninstalled, 6900XT still shows up in device manager under display adapters and the GPU works just fine.

Anyone else have this issue? BIOS is 3003. When I tried BIOS flashback it blinked a few times and then turned solid, indicating an error.

oh wait, nvm. Fixed. Windows was just way too old. 1 hour of updates later, everything is showing up.
