First Time Building - Any Tips ?

venomx

I confidently fitted a

GPU

CPU

RAM

Motherboard

Heatsink

PSU

RGB Lighting

RGB fans

On my pre-built computer.

I'm changing case and want some tips...

I'm thinking. Keep it simple, install everything as stock first. Then add my RGB fans etc later

Current case: https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/focus/focus-g/black/

New case : https://www.overclockers.co.uk/fractal-design-meshify-c-blackout-midi-tower-case-black-tempered-glass-ca-07f-fd.html

I say just take it slow and try not to rush. The RGB fans will take the longest. All those extra cables are not fun to cable manage.

As @Neumann_Joe said, take your time, this is not a race. Do it right the 1st time, and you won't have to do it again and again to correct mistakes made by rushing.

Slow down, enjoy the process of creating something.

When i come to install my two RGB corsair fans, should I line them up in these lines at the top ? A bit confused because my current case has round screw holes rather than them long things ?

Yes. You do. Those are like the round holes, but let you slide the fans either way. That set up lets you use 120 or 140mm fans. You'll end up having to line them up more like this though.

If you are using the same one, yes. You can leave RAM, CPU and CPU cooler on the motherboard when you move it to the new case.
