not really the timings are marginally better on XLR8 CL16-18-18-36 vs the gskill CL16-18-18-38 but apart of that maybe build quality not sure I would go with the cheaper one.

unless you're a serious overclocker (in which case you would know what the differences are), the differences are minimal for the average user.

PNY is less popular than GSKILL.

The performance should be the same.
