Toshiba S55t upgrade advice.

Hi I am wanting to find out what is the best/fastest ram chip that I could install in this Toshiba laptop?  Or any other system tweaks or upgrades I could try.

Also is there anything I could try to speed up my system? I have an I5 desktop that seems to run much faster that this thing...

I understand it runs a max 16GB ram but all the CAS, 1600 vs 1333 etc... is all a bit too confusing for a noob like myself... 

 

So any advice or suggestions to help speed up my system would be greatly appreciated.

PS...I recently upgraded the HDD to a Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB drive in an attempt to improve speed too, it boots faster but still seems to run a bit sluggish...
