Image persistence issue

I left my display on a little too long and now I have a white outline of my taskbar and the apps on it at the bottom of the screen. I know there are ways to fix it like making the background white for a while, making the colors alternate for a while, and even turning off the monitor for a while. If all else fails, I was just wondering if I could take it in to have whatever needs to be replaced to fix it and how much that could cost?
