Cpu power connectors

G-spot

Hi there, i am a first time builder and i have a question, i have a ryzen 7 3700x and i have an asus b550-f wifi which has a 8+4 pin cable to power the cpu

My question is, is it i fine if i just plug them both eaventho i am not planning on overclocking, because many people say that 8 pins are enough, so i am wondering if it is just fine if i put both cable eaven whitout oc my cpu

It won't hurt anything.

Remember, power is not a "push", it's a "pull".

You could make an AM4 board with 20 8-pin CPU power connectors.

And you could hook them all up.

And it wouldn't matter in the slightest.

Yes you can do that without facing any problems, but why would you do it? It's another cable to manage.
